Hello & Thank You For Visiting My Blog
This Blog is a 5 year Work-In-Progress. Those of you who are mothers, wives, and work a full-time job - other than your craft job - know how hard it is to devote all your energies into all of that and still find time for your creative passions.
I have worked my Craft Business on the down low for ages. Two hours a day between homework and cooking supper and two more hours after putting everyone to bed. One free weekend a month that I marked on the calendar with a big red "MOM'S DAY OFF" so no one would plan anything for me - it was great when it worked. My son went off to college in July, opening up a couple of extra hours a day but with my limited time I was still struggling to fill orders and couldn't find even an extra five minutes to start the Blog I had always dreamed of.
BUT NOW HUNTING SEASON IS HERE!!!
If you are a crafty woman In the South you understand what I'm saying. It's that time of year when our husbands kiss us on the cheek and in his manliest voice tell us "I'll bring home supper." We thaw something out anyway and before he can get out of the driveway; we have our coffee in hand and begin cutting, sewing, painting and crocheting our day away.
Chad 'notified' me in early September of his hunting plans. Morning hunts, evening hunts, weekend hunts, and even a full week in November. All I heard was... This is your free time, here's some more free time, and here's a whole week of free time. I immediately put in for vacation the week he is going to be gone to Missouri. I hope this doesn't make me sound like I can't wait for him to go BUT I CAN'T WAIT FOR HIM TO GO HUNTING. Am I going to take advantage of every minute he's in the deer woods - DAMN SKIPPY I AM!!!
The first thing I needed to do was to organize my time. With the JROTC Fall Fundraiser coming up, I knew I would have to take advantage of every free hour to find one hour a day to write my Blog. I already knew what I wanted to Blog about and now I could find the time to do it.
I hope you will follow along. My biggest challenge is to stay organized and to be able to continue my blog when hunting season ends in February. Keep your fingers crossed, say a prayer, light a candle...I need all the good JU-JU I can get.
